At the Zweigelt exclusive, Austria's archetypal Zweigelt grape variety can once again show what it's made of. Because she has what it takes to be really classy, which isn't surprising considering her parents. They are called Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent, two high-quality grape varieties that Dr. Fritz Zweigelt married at the wine-growing school in Klosterneuburg in 1922 and quickly gave his name to the successful result. The maturation time takes place in large wooden barrels, which delight with a scent of wild berries, cherries, vanilla, oak and a pinch of black pepper. The characteristic Zweigelt freshness can be found here as well as the very fine-grained, supple tannins. The Zweigelt exclusive is a finesse-rich delight, which is even further enhanced when you look at the moderate alcohol content!
