Light, refreshing, invigorating... in these disciplines, a classic dry Welschriesling like this is hard to beat. This pleasant simplicity is one of the great strengths of this grape variety, which – contrary to what the name suggests – is not at all related to the Riesling of the Rhine and Moselle. The variety thrives excellently in the vineyards around the free town of Rust on Lake Neusiedl - no wonder that Welschriesling is the No. 1 white wine grape here. In addition to its crystal-clear freshness, our Welschriesling has delicate fruit as well as nutty and subtle herbal-spicy nuances, which gives it a special appeal. It becomes absolutely indispensable when the temperatures outside rise noticeably. Because it makes an excellent summer wine - and is an ideal and often chosen candidate for a hearty spritzer, i.e. a white wine spritzer.
