Anyone who is fascinated by our Elfenhof Rubin Classic should also treat themselves to the Elfenhof Rubin Barrique. Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt are also the protagonists here, but the Elfenhof Rubin Barrique matures in barrique barrels for a full 9 months. About half of them are brand new, which is reflected in the expressive and nuanced bouquet. The ripe berry and cherry fruit is refined by noble bourbon vanilla and notes of young oak, incense and toasted toast. The palate continues to be correspondingly complex; the Elfenhof Rubin Barrique impresses with its concise structure and sophisticated depth. You should also be prepared for a long aftertaste. You can give the already charming wine another year, two or three years of maturation - as long as you resist the temptation not to enjoy it immediately.
